Case Study: D’Alessandro was asked by the Diocese to audit three parishes that were considering capital campaigns. Previous successes with a high school campaign and several parish campaigns in the Diocese allowed D’Alessandro to understand giving in the diverse Diocese. Our recommendations to the Finance Committee led to saving the Diocese millions of dollars and provided realistic expectations of fund raising capacity. Our experience with campaigns gives us insight into the true expense of building and the fund raising capacity within parishes.

Case Study: Churches around the country have typically been told that they could raise between 1 ½ to 2 ½ times their annual collections. D’Alessandro has never allowed this formula impede its success with its church clients. On this particular campaign, “Building Our Future”, we were able to raise five times annual collections for a total of $5,600,000. The highlight of the campaign was receiving a pledge of $500,000 from a parishioner, when the Parish priest told D’Alessandro he would never give. In fact the parishioner had sent a letter to the bishop requesting that the campaign be stopped. Our consultant was able to meet with the parishioner, identify his issues and bring resolve to those issues.
